The Creator My Consciousness Reveals

Transmutaion through the Heart... 2/4

How can it be otherwise?
The tiny kernel,
The mustard seed heart
Feels its mysteries
Waiting for One.
Without its direction
How can we live in the flow?
How can we love in the flow?
How can we dream in the flow?
In silence the voice speaks
Taking on the shape of its course
Illuminating the greater sphere
Which splashes and drowns
Anything not anchored.
Within the seed the message is known;
Through thought the idea forms.
In this monumental unfolding
Again and again nature's secret emerges:
Annihilates coincidence and accident
Until complete transmutation
Is but an opulent promise fulfilled.

For kabir Who Wove His Stories for Me to Find...

Kabir Proclaims : “My Heart is Dying, Though It Lives”

In a great vast ocean sits a mighty poet of love
Who weaves ancient cloth and stories together
One day
In his heart
He witnesses two Lovers
Dancing in the vibrant threads
Which hold all life together
He hears the music of their union
Through the fragrance of their songs
Which suddenly in romantic interlude
Begins to mysteriously unravel...
In that very instant
Cloaked with timeless serenity
The old weaver begins to sing
Outward toward the waiting years
Upward to the great endless sky
Carving an unseen message
That will one day bring these Lovers
Back into the tapestry of unending Joy
When
In another time
Many hundred years later
A young woman soaked in tears
Devastated by separation from her Lover
Will gaze up at the sky and feel the One
Showering in and upon her
Guiding her through an unseen labyrinth
Which firmly twists and braids together a place
Of eternal Union and romantic fulfillment
Out of the ebbing and flowing of each breath:
Arises a sanctuary of fabric and stories

Journal Entry: Dec 4, 2013

"Scholars and students of various faiths have written volumes on this ancient free-thinking poet who lived somewhere around the 1400’s. My particular fascination with him began from a small collection translated by the famous Indian poet “Rabindranath Tagore”. The melding of these two great hearts poured ecstasy over my life to lift the darkness after losing my husband. Singing these poems in English and setting them to music, has brought me endless hours (years) of rapturous singing. Frequently, Kabir also enters my artwork when I least expect. Tonight again, I see his face looking back at me. Our journey ever continues." (Flickr excerpt from 2012...click image to see the another Kabir inspired poem.)

When the River Feels the Mighty Sea...

2/3 "When the Wave Rises It is Water..." - Kabir

A scarlet river rushes beneath my skin
It ebbs and flows against the inner world
Sometimes heated and erratic
Sometimes cool and placid
What strange intelligence this liquid holds
As songs pour through feelings
Shape molecules of wet crimson
Into new creations
Blue veins of rich scarlet
Drown all other colors

As the cycles of my womanhood slow down
The spirited circulation in my head rises

Flushed pink cheeks fill like a fragrant claret
Dry bloodshot eyes gaze into the mirror
Until tears of clear water fall

Washing me from the inside
Disclosing unknown mysteries
Submerged in rhythmic tides
Ebbing into deep silence

Listen to the Voice of the Universal Artist

“Death is Not the Extinguishing of Light; It is Only Putting Out the Lamp Because the Dawn Has Come.” – Rabindranath Tagore

I have no illusions about death
Two caskets burned in the sacred fire
One was my Lover in the height of his youth
The other was my dad not yet an old man
Both of their voices whispered in my heart:
“You do not need to leave the body to be free”.

Both of their bodies dissolved to soft ashes
My Lover’s were more silvery than my dad’s
Felt more fine and my dad’s felt courser
We released them gently into sunlight sparkles
Autumn winds whistling over the caressing waters:
“You do not need to leave this body to be free.”

I keep thinking I come from up there somewhere
I keep thinking that I like the seeing exercise
When you stand in front of a mirror with a candle
No light except that single flame unmasking your face
In that far away gaze a mystery sings:
“You do not need to leave your body to be free.”

Sometimes I sit on the ground and cry
Feeling wretched disconnection
But then inside I hear my Teacher’s words:
“All the Power that ever was or will be
Connects to me from every point in space
I do not need to leave my body to be free.”
I AM not the body
I AM That I AM
I AM

What is true freedom in unity? I used to think that this body must be like a cage holding the spirit captive.  The spirit must be this thin whispy energy that has to stay close in order to maintain and take care of the physical shell.  Isn't that just seeing them as separate all over again?  In a world where we see the smallest particles as a wave, nothing is fixed.  If everything comes from No-Thing, then this energy of the body is just a different state of the same energy.  How can I come closer to knowing this in my own experience?

Questions flood my mind again:

Why is there only enough energy to keep a body for 80 or 90 years?
Why do we age at all?
Why does so much energy leak out of us and deplete us?
Why do some young people have to leave this world?
Why does this energy create illness?
Why are we so afraid of the unknown?

Logically of course I know that we are conditioned.  Every self-help book worth its salt will go on and on about how thoughts create our reality.  We are programmed by our upbringing and environment to follow a pattern which others also repeat over and over.  We find ways to change our habits.  We are told to meditate and eat right.  We memorize all the catch phrases of consciousness and occasionally we feel an inner calm welling up inside of us.  If we persist, we will feel this calm radiate outward into our daily lives.  Deep down inside, we have not yet answered the harder questions.  Tonight I wonder if the rational mind is meant to solve this at all.  Maybe while immersed in a creative flow, we emotionally connect with the Truth and it is enough:

The artist sits at her table.  The phone rings.  A friend cries on the line and seeks comfort while going through a crisis.  The artist listens intently while beginning to sketch onto a notebook just in front of her.  The conversation rises and falls like a great piece of music.  The sketch begins to unfold now with brightly colored pencil crayons filling the page with lines and curves and illuminating light.  The phone call ends in depth of love and connection.  The artist stares at the image and marvels at the pleasant sensations that come while looking at it.

A few days pass by.  The artist begins to play with layering the sketch onto a picture of herself.  More feelings come and go.  She does not know if the artist is a piece of the sketch itself or not.  More playing.  She thinks of skin forming on a pot of boiling milk.  The skin appears out of the milk itself.  Then there are thoughts of an ice cube melting in a glass.  A frozen chunk of water dissolves back into another of its states.  She continues to play.  She thinks of her Lover.  She thinks of her dad.  Peace flows through her being.  A shift has occurred and poetry flows out of this experience.  There are no logical conclusions.  Only peacefulness.  The ache for explanations and definitions dissipates.

The artist nods with understanding.  Does a dance make sense?  Does a flower make sense?  Does the wind make sense?  Does the idea of living forever make sense?  We experience a knowing beyond sense.  On this we ride in the direction of our dreams and realize that there is nothing we cannot know.  The art reveals itself throughout our  life.  It gives voice to our infinite heart.  We connect with the Truth and it is enough.

Many years ago, my mom had a baby.  He survived only 13 days and then passed on.  He would have been 6 years younger than me.  My mom never told me the date before.  She suddenly called me on the phone and told me about how she celebrated him with a white rose on his day of appearance in this world on the 7th of October (the day I started this posting).

Another sweet voice alive in the Mystery reminds me:
"You do not need to leave your body to be free."

Energize with Tat Tavm Ashi (That Thou Art) ...

Energized with Proclaiming "TatTavum Ashi" (That Thou Art):

Proclaim the Sound the ancients knew:
Tat Tavm Ashi
Energy in all its forms
Tat Tavm Ashi
Thoughts are rivers everywhere
Tat Tavm Ashi
All feelings rise and fall again
Tat Tavm Ashi
The Law of life surrounds us all
Tat Tavm Ashi
Breathes us far into itself
Tat Tavm Ashi
Ebbs us outward ever on
Tat Tavm Ashi
Gaze into another’s eyes
Tat Tavm Ashi
Find ourselves are seeking there
Tat Tavm Ashi
A million drummers’ drums ignite
Tat Tavm Ashi
Each singing out and finding light
Tat Tavm Ashi
No higher form nor lower there
Tat Tavm Ashi
Thou the mystery ever near
Tat Tavm Ashi
Coming back to silent heart
The end begins another start
Becomes…
I Am That I Am
Through Tat Tavm Ashi

The perfect law is ever changing.  There can be no static state of understanding.  We settle and become comfortable with our own way of experiencing life and often turn away from anything that may force us to think in new ways.  These last few weeks have taken me on a quest to go deeper again.  Always there are new and profound insights into human nature.

The second of the four proclamations revealed in "Ancient Secrets of Success for Today's World" is "Tat Tavm Ashi", which simply means "That Thou Art" or "You Are That".  Acknowledging everything as an expression of the highest helps to recognize the unity of everything.  There is nothing that is not an expression of the the perfect law (Consciousness).  In that context it is easier to witness and to navigate through day to day events.  We are all such amazing forms of energy dancing, delighting, storming and centering again... One morning after having breakfast with a friend, she reached out her arm and made a fun pose.  Playing with digital art allows me to see something deeper going on.  Diving into this art piece reveals volumes of stories again.  Every moment flows with such richness and opportunity.  The path ever opens before me.  The practice continues...

"The Universe is made with one thing and that thing is the One, Conscious, Intelligent, All Powerful, Energy.  The realization of this is the Secret of Success.  Knowing this intellectually is not enough.  It needs to become part of your thinking and feeling.  It should become a state of mind.  The Creator and the Created are One and the same." - Tulshi Sen (Chapter 15 : The Four Proclamations Unveiled )

Don't Be Afraid to Let Your True Colors Show...

Dedication to Edward Snowden:

How do we know that we are doing the right thing?  Do we possess the skills to ask ourselves the right questions to ensure that we are moving in a heart-centered direction or adhering to the dictates of a system outside of ourselves?

Carl Jung once said:
"Your vision will become clear only when you look into your heart.  Who looks outside, dreams.  Who looks inside, awakens."

When we begin to know ourselves, what we believe in, what we sing for and dance for, life take on a whole new precious quality.  We begin to understand the value of not only our own life, but all human life and then all life.  When a young man makes an enormous sacrifice in the name of freedom for everyone, how can we not pay attention?  When he follows his own conscience at great risk to himself, is it not important to find out why?

In Laura Poitras' film, Glenn Greenwald interviews Edward Snowden.  Near the end of the short clip, he is asked what his greatest fear is right now given that he feels he cannot go home nor that many countries will want to protect him.  Edward Snowden's answer was this:

"The greatest fear that I have regarding the outcome for America of these disclosures is that nothing will change. People will see in the media all of these disclosures, they’ll know the lengths that the government is going to grant themselves powers unilaterally to create greater control over American society and global society, but they won’t be willing to take the risks necessary and to stand up and fight to change things to force their representatives to actually take a stand in their interests. And in the months ahead, the years ahead, it’s only going to get worse until eventually there will be a time where policies will change because the only thing that restricts the activities of this surveillance thing are policy. Even our agreements with other sovereign governments: We consider that to be a stipulation of policy rather than a stipulation of law and because of that, a new leader will be elected, they’ll flip the switch, say that because of crisis, because of the dangers that we face in the world, some new and unpredicted threat, we need more authority, we need more power and there will be nothing people can do at that point to oppose it. It’ll be turnkey tyranny."

These words completely rattle me.  I read about this kind of intrusion of privacy in George Orwell's "1984" , many years ago.  It is a frightening idea. But what concerns me more is the question of what the global reaction will be to this young man's courageous action.  Where will Edward Snowden find a safe haven after sacrificing everything for this idea of what he believes to be right?  It is an important moment in our history.

We have the opportunity to open up our scope of imagination and reach for a better world which will treat all people with dignity and respect.  Edward Snowden's actions open up a much larger conversation about the relationships between citizens and their governments.    Martin Luther King in his 1964 "Big House" speech anticipated that one day the world would begin to see itself as a family which has inherited a big house and must now find ways to occupy that house in dignity and peace and freedom:

"Our hope for creative living in this world house that we have inherited lies in our ability to re-establish the moral ends of our lives in personal character and social justice.  Without this spiritual reawakening we shall destroy ourselves in the misuse of our own instruments."

I believe that Edward Snowden has taken a step toward that vision.  He gives us an opportunity to see it for ourselves.  He gives us the opportunity to ask what we would do if we were in his shoes?  Are we ready?

The song "True Colors" by Tom Kelly, John Kenneth Wetten and Billy Steinberg best reflects how I feel about Edward's Snowden's desire to be true to his heart:

"...If this world makes you crazy
And you’ve taken all you can bear
You call me up
Because you know I’ll be there

And I’ll see your true colors
Shining through
I see your true colors
And that’s why I love you
So don’t be afraid to let them show

Your true colors
True colors
True colors
Shining through..."

"Those who awaken never rest in one place.
Like Swans, they Rise and leave the lake.
On the air they Rise and Fly an invisible course.
Their food is Knowledge. They live on Emptiness.
They have seen how to break Free.
Who can follow Them?"

From Deep Within She Appears...

She is the Angel of Rejuvination…

She appears in the dreams of earthly wanderers
Who ache to feel the joy of existence
She assures us that there is nothing to fear
We are never alone
We are here to overcome old habits
Accept the challenges of the modern age
Defeat ignorance and procrastination

There is nothing we cannot imagine
Reach for tremendous heights together
Hear the rhythm of One Sound
We each listen so uniquely
Find our own way of self-expression
We think independent dreams separate us
Until we understand that all happiness
Is one happiness felt in endless ways
Together we experience life
In all its wondrous aspects
With vigilance in our aspirations
We remember:
Place trust in moral re-establishment
In social justice
In the cultivation of personal character
In the sacred feminine
In the innocence of childhood
Respect the sanctity of all life
In the sweet dance of interdependence
In the power of kindness
Ever resonant in the hearts of all
Believe in the infinite possibilities
Awakening in the One Heart

Unconditional Love Initiates a New Cycle...

The Redemption Song of Eve

The redemption song of Eve
Flows in my heart
She shows me the garden
Where everything is possible
An apple once held the spark of life
Which set her on a journey
Of which I play a part
In her light shines the gift
She regrets nothing
All is forgiven
Life energy moves in circles
Nothing is wasted
We come again to the garden and sing
In Eve we rediscover the dream
Find the song of the beginning
Our closest remembrance of Home
In Eve we feel a dawning
Ready to embrace the children
Of Timelessness
Listen to the song of morning birds
Anything is possible now…

Almost fell asleep on my keyboard because I could not give up on this piece.  Scenes kept changing and the direction of the story caught me by surprise when the apple appeared in the center.  Beautiful feelings kept pouring through.  Like the peace at the end of an exhaling breath, an eternal moment arises and a sweet clarity comes and disappears again in the washing in at the next inhalation.  The green in the center of the apple flashed and I could not let it go until the morning birds sang and daylight streamed through my window.  At last an anchor to my last 2 months of peace and the unending cycles that move through my life in greater ways.  Eve represents the receptive nature which takes upon herself the birthing of dreams.  She is that part of me just beginning to recognize the patterns that appear everywhere in the outer world as they relate to truths of inner world.  This then in turn can relate to states in the inner world made to appear in the outer.  She whispers this is the true expectancy of womanhood.

"The Proclamation -  My Consciousness is the Creator:
develops in your Consciousness your indivisibility with the Universe and at the same time gives you your own Identity.  You will know that you live, move and have your Being in the Universe.  You will know that your individuality is the center of expression of All Power.  It is through you the Universe continues its creation by becoming you." (Chapter 15, p:119)
