Fear knocked on the door and Love answered...No one was there* |
When they are not allowed to ask
And threatened to “obey”
A child can lose the will to think
Explore and laugh and play
A child can lose the sense of trust
That comes from deep within
When told that they are not enough
And full of shame and sin
The child then leans on anything
To feel good and belong
And never questions leadership
They will just tag along
Learning how to walk behind
Is all they ever knew
And follow into lockstep ways
While grief and anger grew
Now God and priest and government
Now doctors, teachers too
Behold the mind that never asked
And now believes in you
Were you the child that dared to stand
And build the world with heart?
Did you step out and feel the sun
While others stood apart?
Did you exhaust the endless ways
To understand new things
Or did you just accept what was
To avoid the stress this brings?
Now all of those who make the rules
Discern and look again:
Are you leading with your heart
Or just avoiding pain?

If you haven't been absolutely mind-boggled by many choices and policies coming into place in most areas of life and been bamboozled by the flip-flopping of rule makers regarding education, health, government, and social policy, then perhaps this reflective poem may not penetrate your understanding as deeply as those of us who have been forced to look more closely at what is motivating many of these decisions being made. Is it fear, greed, confusion, compliance or something else? We must look beyond what the mainstream is willing to reveal and observe more closely...starting with ourselves and what we are willing to accept and embody. It starts wth how well we know ourselves... understanding what freedom means and knowing how fear can be a major driving force for influencing our behaviour.
Stay strong fellow peace- makers and lovers of freedom and beauty. Remember to hold a clear and powerful vision of the life you idealize and keep creating ways to activate this.
May you be guided by the Truth of your Hearts,
Ganga
